Alabama Art Colony (November 2023)

I just got back from Alabama Art Colony and have been feeling emotional. This was the last year! It began in 1992 as a birthday celebration for Sarah Towery and has gone on for thirty two years. It is a space for artists to get together and paint. I learned a lot about art and myself here. It is where I met my two mentors, Hugh Williams and Patt Odom. I attended every workshop I could for over twenty years and am so sad it has come to an end. It has brought magic to so many people and will forever be a special place to me. I will miss this dearly.
